PhD, how is it so far?

Assalamuallaikum w.b.t and hello everyone!

How are you guys? I've been receiving a lot of DM's on Instagram asking about how my overall MIRAD journey is, or even my Diploma in English Communication. But I received zero DM's regarding my Bach. of Mass Comm degree journey (HAHAHAHA).

I truly appreciate you guys reading my blog and following my journey, and there are some of you who congratulate me for pursuing my PhD. I truly am thankful for all the wonderful wishes you guys personally gave to me. Thank you so much, thank you a million times over.

Also, to some who are still new to this blog and wondering, how on earth do I manage to continue straight from Diploma to Degree to Master's and finally to PhD, what I could say is my strength and determination to achieve something I am targeting. It's all about having a strong faith and endless support from your family and friends, especially on your educational journey.

My journey wasn't as easy as ABC. Trust me. Of course, there would be ups and downs, challenges, and somehow you feel super drained and unmotivated to continue things you were supposed to finish? Alas, you have to breathe in and get things done, not for the sake of completing it, but to understand that you can achieve so much when you put things through.

I truly understand this during my end of journey for Diploma, Degree, and Master's. That feeling of satisfaction hits you right in the face when you finally get your overall result, and you will truly feel the sense of victory, which allows you to proceed to the next step, without feeling regret or scared. Because if you can achieve something, you can achieve another.

Now, for the real deal. How's my PhD journey so far? If you were wondering how the application process was? What will you do? When will you graduate? How long is the study plan? Well, allow me to attach all of those inquiries to this one picture below. The application process to apply for a PhD could be different from one person to another.

For my case, I only need to apply via the e-pursuit website (e-pursuit is for fresh UiTM students only), meaning once you complete your Degree/Master's, you can straight away apply for your Master's/PhD via e-pursuit. it's free, and you don't have to bother buying a PIN from the bank, etc. I applied e-pursuit twice, right after I completed my degree to apply for my Master's, and my Master's to apply for my PhD.

However, please be mindful that if you're not a UiTM student, be it from different universities, local or private, you need to apply via the IPSIS website (this is the case for students who wish to apply Master's/PhD at UiTM). You need to buy the PIN No from RHB Bank and apply as instructed as follows.

As you can see, this is the perfect and complete study plan for PhD students who are doing part-time and full-time.

The study plans for part-timers and full-timers are listed as above, but I should inform you, I would really suggest to all my readers (who wish to pursue their PhD) to go for part-time. Why? It is because for part-timers, you can follow the full-timers' study plan (the plan and duration) as for full-timers, by hook or by crook, you need to follow the study plan as suggested above, and the risk is there. Meaning you are unable to delay things, as you need to follow the study plan to graduate on time (GOT).

The study plan also comprises what you will do next, what to expect, how you can complete it, and eventually, if you are aiming to GOT. For my first semester, I need to attend two seminars, which will allow me to receive certificates based on the two seminars, and I will use those certificates for my Defense Research Proposal (DRP) next semester.

For my next blog, I will specifically write about those two seminars mentioned above, and my next post will be specifically for DRP. How's the process, and what to prepare, etc. Thank you for reading my blog, and stay tuned for what's coming next!
